All four churches in the benefice are wonderful places in which to get married and we welcome you.
To get married in a village church, you must either live in the village or have a connection to it e.g. a family connection (check with our Rector – Rev. Sue Simpson).
The first step is to contact Sue (the Rector) contacts page to discuss a possible date then she will give you a Banns of Marriage Application Form to complete and a leaflet with helpful tips to help plan the service. When you have sent back the form she will arrange a first meeting to begin planning the service.
Because marriage is the start of a very special journey we offer a marriage preparation session including lunch. Once you have fixed your wedding date you will receive an invitation to one of the preparation sessions. These are usually shared with other couples who are getting married at around the same time.
Before the wedding itself, there will be a rehearsal in church, usually on the Thursday evening at a time which is convenient for you.
